This Privacy Policy explains how Cafepedia (“Cafepedia,” “we,” “us,” or
“our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Cafepedia mobile
application and related services (the “App”). Cafepedia is a directory that helps people
discover coffee shops and cafés, and lets contributors and businesses add and manage listings
and events.
We do not track you and we do not sell your data. We do not track you across
other companies’ apps or websites, we do not use your personal information for advertising, we
do not link it with third-party data for advertising purposes, and we do not share it with data
brokers. Because we do not track you, the App does not use the App Tracking Transparency prompt.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your
name and email address to create and secure your account.
Profile and role data. If you register as a contributor or business
user, we store the details you provide and the coffee shops or businesses you submit or manage.
Content you submit. Coffee shop listings and descriptions, events, and
any photos you choose to upload from your device.
Bookings and events. Event registrations, passes, and QR check-in
records you create or use within the App.
Communications. Messages you send us for support or feedback.
Information collected automatically
Location. With your permission, we use your device’s precise or coarse
location to show coffee shops near you. You can decline or revoke this permission in your
device settings; the App still works with reduced location features.
Device identifier for notifications. Through Google Firebase Cloud
Messaging we process a device push token so we can deliver notifications you enable.
Usage data. Basic in-app interaction data (such as which listings and
screens are viewed) to operate features like listing analytics and to improve the App.
2. How We Use Your Information
To provide, operate, and maintain the App and your account;
To display coffee shops near your location and personalize your in-app experience;
To let contributors and businesses submit and manage listings and events, and to support
event registrations, passes, and QR check-ins;
To send notifications you have enabled;
To respond to your support requests;
To secure the App, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
3. How We Share Information
We share personal information only in the limited ways below. We do not sell
your personal information or share it for third-party advertising.

4. Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the
App. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a
reasonable period, except where we must retain it to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes.
5. Your Rights and Choices
Access and correction. You can view and update your profile in the App.
Account deletion. You can request deletion of your account and associated
personal data from within the App (Account settings) or by contacting us at the address below.
Permissions. You can turn location, notifications, and photo access on or
off at any time in your device settings.
If you are in the Philippines, you have rights under the Data Privacy Act of
2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), including the right to be informed, to access, to object, and to
erasure. Depending on your location, you may have similar rights under other applicable laws.
6. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country),
and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided
us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method
of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. International Users
Your information may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country. By using
the App, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in those locations.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with
a new “Last updated” date, and where appropriate notify you in the App.
